Well I said there would be a special shout out post to one song...











Unofficially starting off the top songs of Asia list, pop/rock group CNBLUE deserve a quick mention for this song as by the time I first heard it I already had the list finished and such. (The album that this is from, 2gether, would have definitely made my albums list if I had heard it sooner, too.)

Domino is the most electronic based song on 2gether and can be somewhat classed as dance-pop in a sense. The ongoing low pitched synth sound in the background combined with the occaisional “bloop” synth noises make this song quite laidback in comparison to the rest of the album. The only real negative about this song is that Wheein's (from Mamamoo) verse at the end feels completely tacked on out of nowhere and doesn't really add much overall to the song.

Domino's backing during the chorus is actually pretty competent, it's a better than average album track. Like this better than CNBlue's recent Korean output, even if it's still a bit laidback for my tastes.

Kicking off this list is LIZ and her SOPHIE produced track When I Rule The World. This electro-pop track definitely has PC Music's signature brand of J-Pop inspired electronics. (idk about y'all but I can easily see the likes of AKB or even Morning Musume on this?) With it's cute, squeaky and bubbly sound and fun, non-sensical lyrics it makes for an enjoyable listen everytime.
