It would've flopped in the US anyways, so just be happy it'll be successful worldwide. Now we'll get another video. Chances are it'll be a single later.
"Commander" was never getting a US release. She said from the start it would only be released WW and there'd be a different US single. & Anyway "Shake Them Haters Off" is being released to Rhythmic radio which means Commander could still go to CHR/Pop.
Shake Them Haters Off wears thin and is so soft and forgettable sounding... it barely makes an impression.
Dance music is where she thrives and while I understand dance music doesn't sell in the States (real dance music anyway, not some Lady Gaga pop song that everyone ignorantly calls "dance music") I don't think her profile is strong enough to support a real career in the urban community, so why not cater to her talents and release the good stuff, stuff like Commander, on a world wide scale because her low profile makes flopping inevitable, regardless of genre she's presenting.
I can't believe she gave up on Commander in the US. It could have been a hit. I see it climbing slowly kind of like Bulletproof. But now we'll never know
Watch, Commander will become big here in the fall after it's success overseas. Just like Rock That Body, Paparazzi, Evacuate the Dancefloor, Everybody In Love, and Taio Cruz/Jay Sean songs.

I wouldn't classify either of those as "big hits"…
It's a good decision to release something else in the US but STHO?It's kinda punky but I don't see it as a good single choice, I prefer givin' a shoot to Commander in the US instead.
Okay, so now I really don't understand the hate behind this song. It is really inspirational and REALLY good!! I mean, yeah, Commander is better. Much better. But this isn't bad!!
