Rih's music sells because her music is consistent with her personality. We see her life through social media and it correlates with the music she is releasing.

Rihanna's music about sex, partying, and drugs sells because it's generic and fun to bop to

It has absolutely nothing to do with her music correlating to her as a person. She's a hot girl who sells sex. She walks the line between pop and urban music and appeals to both audiences. That's why she's popular.

What in the hell? You think Rihanna has ever had input on her music? Hell, Rated R is her most "personal" album and even that was planned before the Chris situation even happened. She can't play any instruments, is a terrible dancer, and is an alright singer. You are a fool if you think her writing credits are authentic. Meanwhile, various producers have praised Britney for how much input she gives even though she doesn't ask for credits for changing a few words unlike somé of the other girls.
