I've had sex numerous times in the past, and I HATE how our generations today are SO fixated on it that REAL relationships aren't even formed, just temporary, crappy ones using SEX as their foundation and then once the juices are used up, it's on to the next one.
I mean, more power to you, do whatever you want, it's your life, but I just can't do it; I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I can't do it without INSTANTLY becoming emotionally and physically attached to a guy, and then I get hurt.
I've come to realize as I get older that sex is a VERY sacred thing; a ritual. I'm just going to wait for the right guy, take things slow, and form a strong, emotional connection with them before sex is even considered. Idk. Call me conservative or whatever, but this is how I see it.

Anyway, depends on several factors, are u drunk, are u horny, are you both horny and is it spontaneous... In most cases yes, it's overrated.

Sex, as a topic, is not overrated but very censored by society.
However the sexual act can't be "overrated" or "underrated", it's part of human nature. Sometimes you want it, sometimes you don't. Some people like to have sex all the time to "feel alive" and some others like to pretend sex is not essential in life to prove themselves they are different from the majority. It depends on the person on how they use the sexual energy they posess.
One night stands are not wrong, neither are hook ups, waiting till marriage, sharing sexual partners and some other stuff society tags as correct or incorrect. It really depends on the person's point of view.
