Wtf, that remix is awful. The chorus is so generic intstrumentally I really hate it. I love the original and usually Kelly can do no wrong imo, but it feels like they got the producer who did that Chinese Food song to just remix this.
The new version is okay but I think the album version is far superior....it's a lot more reflective sounding and highlights the emotion a little more. This is like a low key club-esque mix.
But if this gives better chances at it doing well, I'm all for it.
True but i also thought the same about that tragic Summertime Sadness remix and that's all pop radio played back then
I don't like the remix much but it makes the song sound a bit more like a hit. The album version is superior of course.
I'm still shocked how much effort they put into the song - first radio mix, now filming a music video. After the rumour about PBP as the 3rd single surfaced, I'd wager that it'd be a buzz single with no promo like All I Ever Wanted was.
This is great, yet dumb. The timing is perfect for her to release this as a single. The holidays, her being pregnant, etc. But people will not feel what this song is about with this pop radio edit. Look at Hello and Used To Love You.
Kelly, be smart. Like you did with SUBG and Stronger, this could be your new Because Of You!
I actually don't hate the remix. Run, Run, Run was the better single choice, and I don't expect this to go anywhere, but good for them releasing a 3rd single before the inevitable next Wrapped in Red single
I feel like it messes with the emotional resonance of the song but I get the remix. They gave it that current radio vibe. They're positioning it as something that would be played next to Justin Bieber and Drake. I like the original and the stripped down version more, but I don't think Kelly has the pull with pop radio right now to get them to play something outside the box.
It's not even the beat that bothers me (Kelly is not above making generic ass music), but the production completely rips away all the emotions from Kelly's voice.
Definitely my fave from the album.
