I actually have zero recollection of what went on that day. I asked my mom about it before and she said the district cancelled school after the first plane crashed and everyone had to pick their kids up (I was 7 and in 2nd grade). I don't remember any of it, even though this is the type of event that would have a vivid stay in your mind until you die.
Interestingly enough I ran across a study claiming a lot of people born post 1990 don't really remember what went on that day. Are you one of those people?
I'm Portuguese
I was 9 at the time and I remember exactly what I saw, felt and etc
I was watching TV at my grandmother's house and one of our news channel at the time used to show trailers of upcoming movies (mostly American ofc). I saw everything live and I thought it was a trailer for a new action movie.
I just realized what was going on when all the channels were broadcasting the same things at the same time. We were so scared because one of our cousins there in the US lived close to the WTC and used to have meetings in one of the towers
Fun part: my grandmother lives near a fishing port or whatever you call it. Sometimes they use bomb like devices to clear out the piles of sand at the bottom of the river so that boats can pass. They exploded one and I felt the floor shaking while I was watching the planes and the towers. I RAN for my life yelling "GRANNY" and crying like a bitch.
I was 13 I was shuffling through chanels on TV and at first me and my grandma thought it was a movie until we realized that it was on almost every other chanel
We watched the second tower being hit and we watched them fall down.
I'm not American so we kinda went on with our lives the next day.
Yes like it was yesterday I was in math and my teacher's daughter called and told her they ran planes into the WTC people talked about it all day. I didn't see any thing until my last class. It was earth shattering. America changed every since that day.
I was 6 but I honestly don't remember one thing about the day. I've been aware of the whole situation but I don't recall what happened while I was at school, what happened at home, etc. A lot of my family lived (and still does live) in New York but luckily they weren't by the towers when it all went down, and I don't really have a connection to it as a whole, though it's always really sad to think about.
Anyways, I was just flipping channels a few minutes ago and MSNBC is showing an old 9/11/01 The Today Show broadcast of the event happening and it was really interesting to watch + see how everyone was reacting.
I was two years only, so no. My sister does tho and yeah, she said it was literally on every channel.
My co-worker was in the US with her family at that moment actually and they were even planning to visit that place that day before everything happened, crazy.
Yes! I remember the time early in the morning after I arrived from Elementary School.
My family is not into international stuff theyre usually just for local colombian spanish news Lol,
! but it didnt care! they were totally shocked by this and my Neighbors too.
It was such a sad day for the entire planet & humanity. Such a senseless and gruesome loss of life. .
I remember the dense atmosphere vividly.
This footage is so intense
REST IN PEACE Y´LL BEAUTIFUL SOULS
Religious Extremism is the worst thing ever
I was born in 93' and I remember it vividly. Not to mention I was in NY, and was worried about my family members who worked near and at the towers. Everyone made it out alive, and oddly enough I made my mother late for work which saved her from the harmful dust that was in the area.
I was 7 when it happened. I remember very faintly watching twins footage all over news, but i wasn't really aware what's going on. I realized after few years. My parents and my older sister remember well that day though.
Yes, my dad actually was supposed to have a meeting there that week, I'm Portuguese but he was in New York at the time, my mom was so worried because we weren't sure what day he was supposed to be in the towers so we didn't know if he had been a victim or not
I'm not American but I do remember it. I was 8, and I remember playing around the living room
while my mum was watching TV, and she suddenly called my dad to the living room like "come see this!".
She thought it was a movie, but my dad was like, that's the news. And they were shockingly staring at the TV.
My sister told me today her classroom did one minute of silence the day after, but I don't recall doing that myself.

Live news coverage from different news stations all across the world/how each country reported it, previously unseen footage of the planes going in that have been uploaded by New Yorkers who didn't send it to media outlets, but uploaded it to youtube in recent years. I've seen every bit of footage of the planes going in and the towers coming down. Conspiracy theorist documentaries about how it was an inside job. Testimonies and interviews with the families of victims. Goodbye phone calls from within the tower. Air Crash Investigation shows. Official documentaries explaining what happened. Witness testimonies. The 10 year reunion with Obama. Celebrities talking about it at the 10 year reunion. Reenactment shows like 'Zero Hour' explaining how it all happened in detail.
I just think it was one of the most defining moments of modern history. It changed the world. The whole world stopped. I was 9 years old and I remember it was the first time I realised there was evil in this world.
Anyway, yeah, basically that. The fact that I have an unhealthy obsession with 9/11.
