Well we have to take into account that when she toured Born To Die/Paradise she toured 4,000 capacity theaters and now she has no problem with 15,000-20,000 ampitheaters. She's definitely growing as an artist, maybe not sales wise, but overall, I would say yes.

Sorry. I do agree that her brand is getting bigger. Some new artists have obviously been influenced by the Lana Del Rey brand.

Not really, when there's close to nothing being spent on performances and promo, and the artist herself is responsible for assisting with writing and producing her own music

This, her brand and stamp in the industry is pretty well know, even if some people find her music boring and snoozefest, they still know her and her work. And yeah her sales arent big like with BTD but thats mainly because she's been releasing music that doesnt sound like that album and they are less commercial, even tho BTD wasnt commercial when it got released, nobody did that music on the mainstream. And mess at the weight jokes...

u don't need consistent sales to be a legend. Look at Patti Smith and Courtney Love, legends but their prime In terms of sales was their earlier albums.

Her sales maybe not, but her name and her brand for sure is. High By The Beach was a huge release to the GP even if it didn't do well the song was well-known to the GP. Ultraviolence was not as big as BTD but West Coast was her biggest WW/US single (except for SS Remix and Y&B).

This. People are being so dense. I don't know one modern day "legend" or "icon" who consistently outsold themselves (because that's just not logical to expect).

I think it's still too soon to tell, but she's definitely set a standard of sorts.

She was a part of the gentrification starter pack of you know what I mean. She was trendy in the hipster indie scene in places like Williamsburg Brooklyn or whatever where they collect vinyls and other retro things. She has this aesthetic thing going for her that is iconic but I don't think she's getting bigger through her actual music these days tbh. BTD was a masterpiece imo but she's just been on a tedious pace since then.

She can go head and give me another masterpiece album if she want tho.
