It's actually very soon. Only two months between the 1st single and album is relatively short compared to other people.
Taylor teas with releasing the 1st single in mid-August & album in late October, lol.
This is very common for country artists (that's where Taylor got it from). Country radio peaks around that time and they can't send their singles to AC/HAC to keep them afloat so that's the traditional release.
