I doubt same sex pairings will ever happen in big budget/mass produced children's media. It would be nice if the world could be that open minded to the point where they don't feel like their children will melt (or even worse, possibly be influenced and end up gay themselves!1!!1!! horror!!) seeing two men/women hold hands, hug or peck on the lips for two seconds like the current animated couples, but I just don't see that happening. In things geared towards adults, sure there will probably be more and more, but kid's movies are a different story, IMO. But anyway, yeah I would be.

Even the "accepting" parents might shy away from letting their children see such a movie as our society tends to associate gay relationships with the sexual aspect of it way more than with the emotional aspect compared to straight relationships, hence why even gay people say it "shouldn't be in children's movies."

Sure that I'd be here for it. I think everyone should. It would be a big step toward a world where children are raised to view same-sex couples as something natural as any heterosexual relationship, rather than something that should be waved aside until the child is "old enough," or whatever.

I doubt it'd work for them but maybe they could feature a gay couple as co-stars of a movie or something? They don't HAVE to make a film with a gay character as the lead just to fill a quota.

Someone high up would have to really push for it seeing as it probably wouldn't get huge returns (though as long as they didn't overspend, they wouldn't lose money).

Not some of the people in here using the "children are too young to understand" excuse . Why are people making homosexuality seem like something too confusing for children. Shouldn't it be good thing for children to acknowledge that when they are still young? Since when is homosexuality a taboo thing for children anyway
