I think she's speaking specifically about Black gays in the United States. On one hand, it's great to have an opportunity to be married to who you want but on another hand, there are a ton of racial relations going on now that takes away from it. I don't think she's trying to pit blacks vs. gays. but of course ATRL won't get it.

Like I understand that but they really are separate issues.

I get it. I think it's a stupid comparison? Is she married? If not, I hope someone disrupts her wedding by bringing up Google News and reading everything bad that's happening that she should think about
*the rights of white gay men and their so called "struggle"
Yeah, that's funny. In that case, black Americans also "struggle" because up until today, they had more rights than "white gay men".

Girl, he/she wasn't saying that. It's no shock that Sri Lanka is not a progressive country, so she might not have 100% progressive views. Of course not everyone there is like that, but it's like saying Russia would be pro-LGBT. It's just not. That's the facts.

I mean... I get it, but her wording kinda fell out here. n
It's not a stupid comparison, and no you don't get it. Both things are top trending news. Both deal with acceptance. They are comparable, especially to those who are both black and gay. She doesn't have to be married (are you even married?) to have an opinion on current news.
