I think people would love her more if she could maintain some kind of musical identity. She tries too hard to "change" with every album.

She's not over yet. Her tour did well in 2007, didn't it? And she has a pretty large fanbase. Maybe this era will decide... I'll still buy her albums regardless.

I lost a lot of respect for her after that... it was unecessary and uncalled for and I'm glad GaGa was the bigger person and handled it with class.
And I dont think her new album will do that well at all, she is talented but the big interest and hype she used to have is not there anymore

her last top 5 was in 2002? ![toofunny2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/toofunny2_zpsb54f2d2d.gif) ![toofunny2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/toofunny2_zpsb54f2d2d.gif)
and B2B 1.6 million sold in 2006 is a huge flop, considering she promoted it heavily
not all shade though, "Stripped" is one of the best pop albums of the decade ![worship](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/971600d3.gif)

yea but that will neither happen because of haters .

She'll do just fine with her new project. Nothing huge, that's for sure.

Interestingly, she once denounced GaGa’s presence entirely, claiming not have even known that the singer existed, a move that she may have come to regret as GaGa has now captured her market; erasing almost all memory of Aguilera’s former reign.

With that being said, the question is this: does the music still have a place for Christina Aguilera? Or would she become a staple of the past like many of the songs on her ‘Back To Basics’ LP? Regardless of how talented she may be, one thing is certain: she no longer has the luxury of resting on her laurels like she has in recent times.

Why are people so quick to write Christina off? She has always taken a long time between albums. Creative process takes as long as it takes, obviously shes very involved with the whole process of music making. She isnt Beyonce who tries so hard to shove herself down people's throats, being anywhere and everywhere just for the sake of keeping herself in the public eye. its almost like shes scared people are going to lose interest in her if she takes a break. She isnt Britney Spears, a show business puppet who lacks any kind of creativity or ability to grow and evolve as an artist, not to mention any kind of real talent, who is not taken seriously by her peers and is a laughing stock of the general public. Christina isnt Lady GAGA, whos pre-calculated image and desperate attempts to stand out will eventually end her career. If you, for a second, believe that Lady Gaga's phony stage image is how Joanne Angelina Germanotta is in real life, you are a fool. Every move she makes and every lamp shade she wears are all carefully planned out to get your attention. Her image is far from high fashion, its just simply hideous and overdone.
Why is it so hard to believe that Christina didnt know who Lady Gaga was? At that time, Lady Gaga was practically unknown outside of myspace. If anything, GAGa should be thankful to Aguilera for establishing her name in the business.
Maybe she really wasnt sure that Lady GAGA was a female? There are tons of pop acts in the industry with misleading names. (Barenaked Ladies, for example, who sound like a female group, yet it consists of all guy members). And Who really believes that Christina tried jacking Gaga's image? You are a moron if you do. Do you really think Xtina was sitting on her myspace all day, studying Gaga's latest fashion faux pas just so she can copy it? It was just a matter of bad timing.
Yes, Back to Basics did not do as well as it was expected to do coming from a major powerhouse superstar like christina. However, it was hardly a flop or a career suicide. A better example of a flop would be Ciara's Fantasy Ride Ashanti's Declaration or Janet Jackson's Discipline. For a jazz/pop influenced album with radio unfriendly tracks, the album sold well. Christina took a risk and followed her passion for retro sound. She even said herself she didnt care how many copies B2B sells. 4 Million copies worldwide with no major hits is hardly a flop. Not to mention a sold out world tour and grammies.
As a fan, I do wish christina would work faster, however as a human I understand that she has other priorities in life, her child for example (cant say the same for some of her other peers, sadly.) She obviously found a perfect balance between work and personal life. She grows with each album, always evolves as an artist and that what true artistry is all about. And for the idiot who wrote this article... yes, there will always be a place for Christina in the industry. Despite of all the Gagas and Keshas who might steal the spotlight for a minute but eventually fade away into the oblivion, true talent will always prevail, it has been for over a decade now.
Sorry this came out so long, but just had to take this off my chest

She is the one that is always petty and its not just "one thing" because in the past she was always saying unnecessary things about a lot of other artists. I dont like when artists always feel the need to bash other artists for no good reason and thats what I dont respect about Christina.
