Lol at Girls running in here to name Beyonce when Beyonce remains the 2nd highest album seller of her time after Britney as stated by billboard and the grammys.
I would say Katy for how many hits she has her album sales are low.
Bey's tour numbers, album sales, endorsement deals, critical acclaim, business plans and success, and overall commercial appeal (movies, magazines, clothes) prove that she is as big as she should be and override her lacking single success ATM.
Numbers are the only objective data. That's probably why people online care so much about them: you can argue endlessly about your opinions but you can't do that with numbers because they just are and they're not concerned with your tastes and personal judgements.
Everything else is subjective. You can ignore someone conventionally "talented" and find something special that suits you more in someone conventionally "untalented", and you'll be able to defend your position, to spark a debate which is 100% pointless when it comes to raw numbers. And that's because they come from external factors not internal ones.
The half of them can't be credited to her alone, solo she has five albums and she passed the 30m not so long ago.
Nobody counts Nsync's numbers to Justin, it just doesn't work that way
But those numbers are a part of her career total and DC is a part of her career, since she founded and wrote many of their hits. They help build her legacy. You can't discredit that part of her life and career, especially since she was the lead singer. Destiny's Child and Beyoncé are synonymous.
And since we're discussing overall status, then yes, if one wanted to attribute them together they have the right to.

Yes i can so does Billboard and so do the grammys.
Just cause you do not like it does not make it any different.
They count The supreme sucesses for Diana Ross and Same for Paul.
Look at Bey showing off DC aka HER awards as apart of her career.
She sold 70 million albums in her career, And thus her Status fits her sales.
I think that the only thing beyonce has is acclaim and media relevance
4 selling almost 3 million in 2011 is not on pair with her superstar status
And LBR BEYONCÉ sold well because of the surprise release gimmick.
I'm not taking anything from her, she's could become a legend for her talent, but her hard numbers overall are the same than an artist like Avril Lavigne who is not a legend at all. Her sales are good but it doesn't match with her super mega star status.
Surprise gimmick or no, it still sold quite well considering the current sales climate.
4 sold well despite the lack of smash singles. It had two moderate hits and the rest did poorly.
Then we can say the same thing about Femme Fatale and Britney Jean. For an artist whose status is quite big and it's considered the biggest female seller of the past decade, she did quite bad with those two. The first one didn't even crack 2 million worldwide and the second is barely at 600k around the globe.

Look at the landslide on the poll tho, everyone seem to think the same as me.
You can't credit the job of 4 women or whatever number of women they had at some point to her alone. The other women also had their fans and people who supported the group for them. I know Bey was the main one but it doesn't work that way.
This is such a transparent thread considering you always say this about Bey, Trent
Shame you didn't have the balls to turn it into a thread solely about her, you had to throw in a poll with other artists
In answer to this thread none of them. You can't have an inflated status. If you're big, you're big. If the media constantly reports and cares about you, that's that. It's the same way if Angelina or J.Law did a few flop films, they're still going to be huge media forces and seen as the biggest actresses in the world
Real talk, Ariana Grande is the correct answer. She grew up with this new generation and they do streaming, though, which is why the bulk of her career comes from SEAs.

Britney peaked more than 10 years ago in terms of commercial success and relevance, Beyoncé is at her peak right now.
Let's face it Britney is done commercially, she has no relevance anymore, right now is extra time, we just enjoy the music.
Beyoncé is more famour than ever right now and is not having the same commercial success at all than Britney had, even if you adapt the current market.

Right ? Trent can keep attacking his keyboard, usmagazine,Time , Billboard, vogue,Grammys and the gp All know that DC is apart of her career and count it with her.
