John Legend
"Everybody Knows"
Kicking off this set is John Legend. It wasn't until this year until I realized how GREAT John Legend is. I mean, I've always thought he was good, but I went back and listened to his entire discography and DAYUM! Boy's got talent!

Kanye West
"Welcome to Heartbreak" (feat. Kid Cudi)
Oh, Kanye. You asshole. You are an asshole but you always SLAY me. This is Kanye's first appearance on the countdown and it comes with rap's hottest newcomer, Kid Cudi. While I'm not sure if this was released as a proper single, it had a video and that's good enough for me!
30
Rihanna
"Hard" (feat. Young Jeezy)
At first listen, I was like, "why is Rihanna trying to be urban?" Then, I listened again and I lurved it! Easily the best first single of the three off
Rated R. And how about that video? Girrrrrrrrrrrl! Everything about it! The costumes, the Mickey ears, the military theme, the 'R' flag. Slay me, Ri Ri, SLAY ME!

Chris Brown
"I Can Transform Ya" (feat. Lil Wayne)
Yeah, so I didn't mean to go straight from Rihanna to Chris Brown, it just kind of worked out this way.
Anywho, this is Chris Brown's only appearance on the countdown. (You didn't expect "Crawl," did you?) I believe if he wasn't such a woman beater, this song would've been a bigger hit. I can honestly say that I hate Chris Brown and would have much rather preferred to put Rihanna ahead of him BUT I have to do justice to the MUSIC people! As far as I'm concerned, he can keep his whiny little mouth closed unless he's making songs like these.
