So. MUCH. SHADE people! Bart, you will NOT come for me in my own thread!
That being said...
Top 50 Singles:
#50. The Dream - My Love (feat. Mariah Carey)
Initially, I hated this song, but it kinda grew on me, I guess? The video itself was a hot ass mess, and it was just a foreshadowing for the ****** year Mariah would go on to have. She only makes one more appearance on my entire "Best Of"...which says a lot. The same can also be said for Mr. Terius Nash...
#49. Bobby Valentino - Beep (feat. Yung Joc)
One of Mr. Valentino's better offering, which went on to receive a lukewarm response on the charts. "Beep" didn't immediately captivate me at first, but it's a catchy little club number, so it gets the job done. Yung Joc is also a good addition on the track, so you can't lose!
#48. Ciara - Never Ever (feat. Young Jeezy)
I COULD sit here and talk about how 2009 was just NOT Ciara's year. I could throw shade at all the push backs and the "buzz singles" that didn't help her case. I could even talk about the lack ot general interest behind the project itself, BUT I won't! I will say, "Never Ever" was a nice little song. I hated it upon first listen, but...you know it grew on me. Ciara should generally stay away from ballads or slower songs though--it only highlights her vocal limitations.
#47. Jason DeRulo - Whatcha Say
We won't be hearing much from Jason DeRulo in 2009, so what's left to say? This song came and went pretty quickly--but just long enough to make my list. Not much else to say...
#46. LMFAO - La La La
I discovered this song through it being featured in a performance on America's Best Dance Crew, and the next day I downloaded LMFAO's "Party Rock" EP. "La La La" was catchy, and was stuck in my head for a good minute...but it sorta came and went.
Expect another update to come soon!
