The earn much less money that's why you're supposed to tip them. But often restaurants charge the service themselves like 10% or something around that and then you obviously don't have to tip
I tip always. If I get good service it's usually 17-20% range. Bad service usually 10 - 15%. Really depends. Apparently in Europe tipping isn't done often. Don't know how true that is. I only tip when I'm being waited on, not at a take-out place or anything.
This does not make any sense to me. Why would you pay bad servants practically the same as good servants? It would be fair if you paid around 20% for good service and between 5 and 10% for bad service.
Probably not but I always tip unless I find the waiter/waitress rude as ****. My mates never tipped tho and always asked me why I bother tipping, I just always told them that's how my mum brought me up which is true. (EDIT: btw, it's not really a thing to tip here in the UK because they get paid the standardised minimum wage over here.)
I think tipping is only a huge debate in countries like the USA where waiters get paid horribly. But even in that case I feel like it should not be compulsory to tip as wages are partially the fault of restaurant owners.
but golden sis we have an understanding of how businesses work and how certain employees get paid so it's respectful to tip in those instances. If you don't want to tip simply do not go out to those types of establishments here
At the end of the day waiters do their job & get paid for it and that's that. Tipping should only be done if the waiter really goes out of their way to make someone's night or whatever. Work is work, honeys.

So if I don't tip in those instances I am being disrespectful? Girl gone with that foolishness.

an "no it's okay just throw the trash on the floor it's the employees job to pick it up" teas. a mess
This statement is OUTRAGEOUS and laughable. You essentially CHOSE to be a waiter, because you want money. I CHOOSE not to give away free money to someone who's already being paid hourly.

Yes, because you are aware that these people get paid below minimum wage. They are humans providing a service for you and they deserve to be treated better

Sis, where are you from?
If you are from America, then....
