Greedy? They just want to be paid for their music. Sure, the majority of these artists have made millions (billions, I'd imagine for Madonna and Jay) from just albums and singles, but you have to realize that they aren't the only ones who get a cut. They have to split it with songwriters, producers, the label, team members, etc. and they have families (and in some cases.... significant others and friends) to take care of... Don't mistake greed for the natural desire to hustle and make the most of ourselves + situations.
We are all motivated by the desire to make money and be able to maintain wealth, but I would like to think that truly greedy human beings would not want to share their wealth with anyone else... They wouldn't ask some of the biggest musicians to come forward and be apart of this for 3% each (for a total of 48%), they wouldn't work with a lot of songwriters and producers so they could make the most money possible, they'd want all of the spotlight to themselves, etc. That's greed lol.
Even Google backs me up with this definition of 'greed': "intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food."
