I have to agree, and honestly I see her winning a Grammy for this song. But it could have as easily been the second single. It just feels, to me, like she wasted her chance to possibly have the biggest song of her career by releasing an infectious revolutionary jam after her absence from music.

WFL and Diamonds were album launching singles. 45S is apparently not the lead single of R8. She described it as a first taste, so maybe it wasn't supposed to be a gigantic hit like her other leads. It was still a smash though and it hasn't even peaked in the US yet.

I need proof self-titled sold more than Unapologetic. I don't think it did And if it did, by a few thousand copies, since neither hit 4m.

LEAD singles lead to an album. R8 isn't out nor will it be in the following weeks, so FFS is not the lead single, cause it led to absolutely nothing.

Well, Stupid Hoe was the first single from Nicki's second album, but Starships was the lead single. Love More was the first single from Chris' X but New Flame was the lead because all the other songs were released months before the album. L.A.Love is Fergie's first single, but the lead is yet to be released.
