Yes, Adele did end the dance-pop era. She basically made the industry more boring. This year's Grammys were the ultimate example of how basic the industry has become. Singing predictable piano ballads and looking like your average neighbor has become the industry norm. It is sad but this trend will eventually end as well.
you're even more delusional. musicians don't have to wear a parade on their heads in order to be interesting.
one or two in heavy rotation is nothing compared to dance-pop song after dance-pop song in 2011-early 2012. the point still stands Top 40 radio is way more diverse now and she played the biggest part in that.
True, I agree with this. I wouldn't say she ended it since there's still big EDM songs, but she has made room for a lot more variety.
She didn't end it but she surely slowed down because once she kept releasing singles, there were less EDM songs and we started seeing ballads as singles, JGMAR, Stay, WIWYM and smashed.

I agree with this, Adele was very good and I semi-stan for her, but I'm so ****ing tired of the ''real music trend'', it's so so boring right now, I need sick beats and noise with some good vocals, urban and edm beats, just something uplifting, this slow thing needs to stop now.
People trying to deny this She didn't end EDM/dance-pop itself but she ended the trend. you know... back in 2011 where you had to make that type of music or flop? No way would songs like All Of Me or When I Was Your Man fly without Someone Like You
None of those artists have anything to do with Adele's success tbh (plus John Legend has been successful since the mid 00s). Sam Smith is the only exception. The VH1 You Oughtta Know-type artists have been around long before Adele.
