Thankfully, no. Anyone who hits their kids (or even spanks them) do not deserve to be parents and they should be fined. It may not hurt them (the sound of getting spanked is worse than how it feels as a kid) but it is a form of physical and mental abuse.

Lol. My mother spanked me. She's an amazing mother and I'd have a real problem with anyone who tried to fine her for the way she chose to discipline me.
Yep, occasionally. My sister and I were little assholes, though. One time, we were at a fish market, and my sister said, quite loudly, "Mum, close your legs please."
The speed with which my mother's palm struck ha face. I was legit in tears.
my dad used to threaten to hit me with a belt so I can behave but he never actually did so.
