A really fun dancehall song. I hope Nicki does more dancehall in the future. It feels really authentic with her especially since she's from Trinidad.
93) Britney Spears - Passenger
The second best song from Britney Jean. The song is actually quite relatable at least for me. Wouldn’t you want to find someone who you can trust enough to let them lead the way?
Favorite lyrics: I'll let you lead the way now
'Cause I want you to take the wheel
I've never been a passenger though
I never knew how good it would feel
The road will twist and turn but
I know that I am in good hands
I've never been a passenger no
But we'll see more without a map
92) Mariah Carey - Without You
Mariah’s version takes this song to new heights with her out of this world voice. It became a global smash hit for Mariah.
This was the year I really got into Back to Basics. Christina did the whole retro 1920s-1940s era/image which obviously inspired Lana Del Rey. Anyway, I really hope Christina and Kwamé do a song together again.
🎶 90) Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX - Fancy 🎶
I never thought that I would get into an Iggy song this much. But the hook is killer. Btw I did not expect this girl to get caught up in so much racial tension. What a year for her.
Trivia: Charli's mom is of Indian descent and was born in Uganda.
🎶 89) Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You 🎶
How could I not put one of the biggest and best Christmas songs of all time on my Best of list especially this time of the year? Even if I didn’t play this song on my own, this song would earn a spot on this list based purely on the amount of times I’ve heard this song on the radio, in the mall, etc. in the past month. The only contemporary pop artist with a Christmas classic. You wish your fave had one.
Love the two Mariah classics there, Without You and the eternal and never-dying All I Want For Christmas Is You Understand is one of my fave singles from Back to Basics.
Passenger is great! One of my favorite tracks from Britney Jean.
Fancy is definitely my favorite from this update
Yeah, they should have just made more songs like Passenger for Britney Jean, especially since it was supposed to be a personal album. It would have performed better too.

One of my faves off Stripped. Christina needs to do more pop-rock. Her voice is so powerful and certainly much more distinctive and expressive than Kelly Clarkson and Pink’s voices.
🎶 87) Ciara - Overdose 🎶
At least this is charting somewhere. Overdose is the best thing that Ciara has come up with in the last 7 years. Her fans rejoiced over this song.
Trivia: Last year Ciara got engaged and pregnant with rapper Future. She became his baby mama #4. They broke up in August of this year, following claims that Future cheated on her.
🎶 86) Christina Aguilera - Genie 2.0 🎶
A futuristic, electronic take on one of the greatest songs of all time, Genie in a Bottle.
A great song that is a commentary on celebrity culture over a hot disco beat.
🎶 84) Mariah Carey - Heartbreaker 🎶
A classic song. Don’t like the rap part so I listen to a version without it.
🎶 83) M.I.A. - Double Bubble Trouble 🎶
The latest single from one of the best albums of 2013, Matangi. Double Bubble Trouble is just so addictive and that break at the end. M.I.A is just amazing.
