No, they can't. Taylor is only an exception. Music sales have been declining since around 2001 and the only reason why album sales were so massive before was because of the popularity of MTV in the 80's and it completely inflated sales during that time period until the early 00's.
Napster killed off sales far before streaming ever did. You all need to get with the program and quit complaining about it.
Streaming exposes your music to a lot more people. It's not going to be about sales anymore, but who's listening to your album. That SHOULD be far more important to an artist, but unfortunately it's not because most don't even have anything to say anymore and most are under the impression that you're supposed to make millions and millions off of music because that's the way it was before.
