Anyway, I think that this will be a hit because I can see a lot of people relating this song to something in their lives. Plus, it's a great R&B song, and almost reminds me of 90's R&B. I'm a little concerned about pop radio, but we shall see. I had to listen to "Obsessed" almost 20 times before I got into it. "Hate U" is a no-brainer. This is Mariah at her finest!
It doesnt do much for me. I don't know if I would listen to it fully but I hated ISIL then when it was released, I loved it, so I might love this....later.
So this is the HATE U song that was supposed to be the lead single.
I know why Mariah had chosen Obsessed instead. HATE U is better, but cannot be big by itself. It needs some buzz. And slow song as lead single is not a good idea nowadays.
