They're also the most overrated. Grammy's have been a joke for a while now. But what else is new? Radio airplay is a real and current statistic that cannot be denied, holds much more weight than a few people cherrypicking artists to receive a trophy based on their personal opinions.

Award is just award. It means nothing. Same goes for other awards such as Nobel Prizes.

For example Einstein didn't get nobel prize for his two biggest discoveries such as Relativity and MC2 equation but he was awarded only for his work on Photoelectric effect.

But Grammy is the most prestigious award and it's a big honor to get it even once. In my country, musicians that has prestigious awards are more respected. Hopefully she releases very solid album and get some acclaims from critics.

It's a big honor only for relatively new artists that needs recognition to promote their records. Katy already established herself as solid hitmaker among others. She doesn't need that award.
