Also, although CBS would like you to believe that they chose to drop Rihanna’s song after her tweets yesterday, it has been reported that Roc Nation already revoked the license to use the song before due to the misuse and misrepresentation of Rihanna’s name and participation in connection to CBS. CBS was not allowed to license and utilize the song ‘Run This Town. Roc Nation made the decision to not grant the song’s usage.

It was such an overreaction on the part of CBS and a bad one at that! I totally understand them pulling the whole intro (and indirectly Rihanna) to set a different tone for the pre-game show but to ADMIT in an interview with the Associated Press that Rihanna's past experiences with domestic violence was one of the deciding factors in scraping the intro is absolutely ridiculous. SHE was a victim NOT a perpetrator of domestic violence. She's already suffered at the hands of her abuser, it's not right to punish her for the actions of another abuser.
