I don't want to write him off completely because there might be a genuinely good reason I haven't thought of, but I still think there's a level of professionalism that needs to be held in the industry. I don't know what Rita could have done that was so bad that he forbade her performances of songs that he wrote, and he does look like the bad guy, but we've only heard one side of the story. I wonder what really happened.
if he was so hellbent on ruining her career he should tell us what she actually did that was so awful because right now it looks like he's just being mad and petty

Unless she smothered his puppy or something I can't think of a good reason for him to be willing to block his own damn song from being promoted
+ why can't he just leave Rita alone. He already ruined the release of her 2nd album by taking all his songs away from her and giving it to her competition, + to a girl in a same label that Rita is on . And now he wants to ruin her chance at making it in America.
I want to knwo this "good reasons", since to pull a performance from an awardshow, and don't talk about it and give this vague explaination since Rita did an interview feels odd.

Isn't that enough? Leave her alone..
He's acting like a bitter child. Waiting till the last minute to cancel her performance and now shading her for supposedly airing out their dirty laundry when all she did was praise him while he's the one seething on Twitter - all without even providing us with this so called "damn good reason".

I don't know, either. Maybe he started thinking that Rita only used him for her own personal gain (career) or something like that, and so he tried to pull the plug on that. Rita might be telling the truth though so who knows.
Calvin looks like a guy who thinks too high of himself, never liked him since I first heard about him from We found love and apparently he's very immature too.
But the same time, Rita looks like one of those manipulative young girls who will do anything to get what she wants, this acting nice and innocent all the time doesn't fool me. You know what they say there's no smoke without fire.
I honestly not even sorry for her, she worked hard to earn her bad reputation, and now it just backfired. I wouldn't be surprised if little did she new how copyright works untill this happened.
Rita knew what she was getting into. She doesn't write her own songs so what does she expect?
The fact that she publicly announced that she "didn't like his music" and even slated Cheryl's single Call My Name (which he wrote) seems hilarious to me.
Calvin gave her the song and he's well within his rights to take it away. She bit the hand that fed her, it's a lesson she's going to have to learn. Sorry.
You don't mix business with your personal life, because when you do feelings get in the way of business. Moral of the story, dont date someone just so they produce your album, it'll backfire! Get ha calvin
I still can't believe he actually did that tho. Even if she cheated that's still not a good reason... talk and sort our your problems like mature adults, don't act like a child and "punish" her because you can't get your own way. Smh Calvin I liked you before this.
I can agree with this statement on a personal level, but since Calvin did such a thing, it goes to show the music business is a cruel world. This move had to be business related...Well I hope so anyway

He also knew she said that stuff and still went in and did a song with her
