You idiot. Whether it was intentional or not, it could have been avoided. As stated in the video, this wasn't the first time they had approached this man wrongfully, and that he did absolutely nothing wrong to warrant such an attack. They did not have a warrant for his arrest, so they were not in their right to attack him or force arrest upon him. When he said that he could not breathe, they should have stopped.

The man choking him should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. At some point the men employed to seek and enforce justice should be reminded that they are men of law and of justice, not men above them.

I don't think this was an act of racism but an act of brutality and recklessness.

He had every right to resist arrest because he did nothing wrong and they didn't have a warrant for his arrest. And even for me when I'm in the US and with my advantage as a white German, I certainly don't argue with a police officer, I do what he wants and think to my self what a moron and stay healthy.

If you listened to the video that's not the first, second, or maybe even third time he has been harassed by the police in such a way. It seems like he probably complied with the officers numerous times and that still didn't prevent him from being harassed. The video clearly shows him reaching an emotional breaking point after experiencing a string of harassments by the NYPD. He said, "Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I'm tired of it." I'm sure as a white German male that you comply with the police officers and everything goes smoothly , but I'm also willing to bet that you don't get stopped and harassed every time a certain group of cops come through your neighborhood.
