Comparing her single and album sales in light of other pop singers that have been successful at radio this decade
is in no way a measure of her celebrity.
Sure, she never captured the small music markets, but definitely has captured the largest. And when we look at her $450 million dollar bottom line, which is about 4x the average of the rest of her contemporaries, that market is enough.
