She shouldn't apologize, every one is right to free speech.
I don't think anyone is saying that she didn't have the right to say it. I think they mean apologize for the sake of her career.
I personally don't think she should either, but, she could say she didn't mean to come off on that tone or assume anyone without a promise ring is a ****...
I don't think we can attribute her song falling to her VMA comment, I mean, I don't actually think anyone outside of ATRL actually paid that much attention to it. I think it has more to do with a shitload of songs that are either newly released of gaining in popularity and making it harder to get into the top ten. Estelle's "American Bboy" was removed for a short period and now that it's back people are buying it again and that has helped it back into iTunes top 10. Jay-Z & T.I. have their new song, and when you have big names like that it's almost guaranteed that track will premiere in iTunes the top 10 early on. Same thing with Fallout Boy's new track. "In the Ayer" has been out for ages and is just now gaining real momentum and getting into the top 10 (even though it's crap). And tracks like "Better in Time" are slowly getting more buzz and making it harder for songs like OSAAT to keep their spots. I feel like there are some reasonable excuses for OSAAT's iTunes chart slip.

A lot of people at my school brought it up, and it's magazines/magazine sites, etc.

I guess it is true that people have talked about it some, but I just meant that I don't think it's nearly as scandalous or harmful to her success as people on ATRL are making it out to be. The gossip blogs and magazines will mention it of course, but it's not even going to be the week's most riveting story and any sort of commotion it has caused will die down in a relatively short period of time. I just don't see anyone being so upset by it that they are going to refuse to buy her music and boycott her. I feel it has more to do with the fact that the track has been out for a long time now and the buzz around it is subsiding and new tracks are coming in and taking over the top 10.
Yes, but why 11 to 22 in a matter of a day. It baffles me.
Oh well, bring on Freeze.
I don't want to post a new thread for this but she confirmed in a recent int. that Freeze is most likely the next single, not Permanent Monday. Thank god.
Umm it might have something to do with "Swagga Like Us" being added, "I Don't Care" being added, "American Boy" returning, and some other songs getting exposure during the VMAs,commercials, and television appearances while Jordin does nothing to promote
