That question has been answered a # of times on this board.
She was told to make a studio album (in June) & finish it within three months so it could release in November. Hilary wanted to take her time to record it & possibly co-produce some songs. When the ball finally started rolling & she was about to start recording, her label stopped production of the album because they found out she wasn't planning on finishing it for this year. So the album was kaput & this will take place to finish Hilary's contract with Hollywood.
Her greedy label was so hellbent on releasing an album in the fourth quarter of this year to capitalize on album sales. Apparently, they're not fighting right now, but her label will still release the "Best Of" this year.
Yet she puts 'Why Not'
