Yeah, NO shade she is my favorite and went off but there's definitely an athleticism to Dawn & Shannon's dancing that has always set them apart in the group. With all 5 it used to be:
Dancing:
-Shannon
-Dawn
-D. Woods
-Aubrey
-Aundrea
Vocals:
-Dawn
-Aundrea
-D. Woods
-Aubrey
-Shannon
Charisma:
-Aubrey
-Dawn
-Aundrea
-Shannon
-D. Woods
... this time around, it'll be interesting to see Danity Kane's three biggest assets, with their rising star Shannon, but she was only slept on because of minor parts and her voice was very 'airy' now they're learning how to zone in on her sound.. Her voice is very icy with sass and that country twang, it's kind of the pop-singing we wish Britney did.

That's a good point actually. But I think this is what makes Aubrey really important to the choreographies of the group. She adds the sexiness and the simplicity. Dawn and Shannon always execute the moves very precisely. Aubrey adds a little sass into it. I like it!

To me Aubrey (and Aundrea) have the x factor. Shannon is technically the better dancer but she can never outshine the other girls if they are going all out.

They ****ing killed it but it doesn't feel right, it feels empty. And I think they know it, the way they hugged at the end had me feeling some sort of way.

It might feel empty compared to DK5 or DK4, but it definitely doesn't look empty compared to the other girl groups that are currently in the game. They're the best. And it will definitely look even better when they have a better and bigger production, because they don't have any stage props or background dancers in the performances I've seen so far.

Can't even imagine how this would look with a Beyonce sized production behind it. Amazing

I mean, I agree with that idea but it doesn't look like it'll be happening. They have like NO BUDGET behind them! It looks like its all being self managed with their own personal teams from their solo efforts coming together and no real bankroll going on behind the scenes.
It feels empty, not visually, but like the idea of Danity Kane. Danity Kane to me was everyone (but D. Woods, she was always expendable to me) that was originally in it, and someone as integral as Drea being gone is a HUGE thing to get used to. Visually, melodically, and just in general its gonna take a while for me to fully accept it.
I wish them the most luck in the world but I just don't see it happening for them. I hope by this time next year I'm eating crow but I honestly don't think I will be.

'Lemonade' already having 310k plays is a good sign and their buzz is on point, so even if they're not already secretly signed, they will be soon. And I don't know who's managing them, but they made their comeback announcement at the VMA's Whatever their management team is, they're doing a hell of a good job.
Aundrea is an amazing singer, but she wasn't ready for the comeback physically (maybe not even mentally, but we can't be sure about that), so maybe her departure is for the better. DK3 are still better than any other girl group out right now. I don't know if they're better than DK5, but they're better than their competition.

I mean the VMA's announcement thing was whatever because they've had ties to MTV since their conception. I'm sure they pulled in a favor or something. After that their buzz fizzled out and basically NOTHING happened till Bye Bye Baby (which was a "leak") and then officially Lemonade. Like whoever their management is needs to get it together tbh! They're not doing that great of a job imo.
And also, I think one of the major motivators for Drea not really being behind it all like the rest of them is because there wasn't enough money being offered. That's a huge indicator of what's going on behind closed doors cuz if they can't keep members that agreed to come back since they decided to do it from leaving then something is going on. She definitely was holding them back but I don't think it was cuz she's not capable of pushing it there, she just didn't have the same motivation and saw lack of incentives ($$$).
I agree about there not really being any competition in their lane right now (wait till PCD decides to come back, even tho DK5/4/3>>>>>>PCD!). They can pull it together with just the 3 but they're gonna need A LOT of cash and convincing the fan base. Because I'm sure a lot of them are disillusioned right now!

I get your points. The delay was worrying, but I get it now. Maybe they weren't sure if Aundrea was going to stay in the group or not, so they just slowed down until she made up her mind. It's not like they could record their entire album as a 4-member group and then re-record all of it without Aundrea. That's too much money, time and energy wasted.
I have a feeling the 'Lemonade' video will slay lives and those that are on the fence will be here for them.

Yeah the delay makes perfect sense but it was all preventable tbh. At least now its something solid and wont change, so they can bring it 100%!
TBH, I've already rewatched this performance 3 times and ****ing catching feelings over it. Like I was lukewarm towards the song when it dropped but after that performance I'm actually gonna DL it and put it on my phone! The video will be hot, can't wait.
I just hope they make it.

They need a televised performance ASAP. If they did Lemonade at the BET Awards it would do wonders for them. They all look and sound great.
