Doesn't controversy make one bigger? Wrecking Ball breaking the VEVO record and selling nearly 500k in one week means being a huge star to me. Being capable to attract everyone's attention for an entire year makes her one of the biggest stars right now. Not to talk about how her tour is estimated to gross $100M.
Sis Beyonce's latest album received universal acclaim and bigger score on Metacritic than any album of those who you mentioned!

Universal acclaim and Metacritic scores have nothing to do with the question asked in the OP and Katy and Rihanna both have had at least 2 global smashes during their latest eras so it easily puts them ahead of Beyoncé.
