Basically. He has no one to blame but himself if X never comes out. All of the songs we've heard sound amazing. Hopefully he can milk a "recovery" angle once he's out of prison. Say that he's learned from his mistakes, has dealt with his demons, etc.

Why are y'all acting like Chris is blaming anything or complaining about his performances I really doubt that is his or his teams main priority right now nor should it be. And truthfully, everything he's released has done pretty ****ing good regardless considering

I'm not even concerned about X. I'm more concerned about him getting his **** together and being alright. **** X at this point. I'm just glad we're still getting music and videos.

If anything this is just proof of his power. His music seems to do well regardless of his legal situations/lack of promo. If he can get damn near top 10's and huge radio hits without all of that, just imagine if he was able to promo/not in trouble all the time. KING

I kind of dragged him a bit when I first heard it I was NOT here for this at first. It took more and more listens for me to start liking it and the music video made me grow to love it

No one said that Chris is blaming anyone. It's just unfortunate that this era got damaged by all of his issues. I hope he's able to find peace and get better because he is the biggest detriment to his own success.

But he's still successful

Besides had he not gotten in trouble and held off on releasing, things wouldn't be the way they are now. I don't see how the era has been anything when the album hasn't even been released yet. I doubt Fine China will even make it to the final version at this point. You realize had X been released when it was supposed to originally, we would've never even gotten Loyal? Which is shaping up to be bigger than both FC and LM with twice the trouble behind it.

Girl, what? I'm not saying Chris isn't successful... but obviously his "issues" hold him back in some respects. Imagine how successful he would be if he got his act together? I'm not even coming for Chris. I just think he's capable of more. The music (Counterfeit, Loyal, Show Me, Fine China, Love More) is not the reason he isn't smashing. He may be doing well now, but he could be doing better. Do you get what I'm saying?

I definitely agree that his behavior hinders him and he could do way more if he wasn't getting in trouble all the time but what I'm saying is that had stuff not worked out the way it has, half the stuff that he's released, that y'all are mentioning him "ruining" wouldn't even be in existence. We would have never gotten Loyal had X been originally released last year. Nor would the Ariana collab even be in discussion.
