[B]Why is it that when Rihanna smashes with two singles but then fizzles out people ignore it, but when Beyoncé has similar underperformance people call her a flop etc.?
Because Beyonce had similar underperformance without the hits preceding it.
It's unjust and my fellow navy never likes to stand up and say that Rihanna has lost her singles/album selling power. I'm not a delusional Stan so I can criticize my fav when necessary. Hopefully she can come back strong with R8
And Pour It Up didn't even have a pop radio release, so that was a great success. And Jump slayed in Australia, which shows the full singles after Pour It Up sucked

My point is that it's pretty obvious how she was able to get away with flop singles.
They still charted decently, if that list is accurate.
I wouldn't know. I barley keep up with the charts.
Lov7 Song wasn't even a single. Ch...At least get your facts straight. And whatever Bey lacked in the 4 era singles-wise she made up in album sales and critical acclaim, so she's rightfully unbothered.
Although I can say, as a Rihanna Stan, it's interesting that 4 sold just as much as Unapologetic without the smash singles. Guess it shows Bey's selling power

As a "Rihanna Stan" you should know that Unapologetic has sold at least 3.4M.
