Exactly. I read it this year in AP English 1 and it was literally the worst, most bland novel I have ever read. Nobody in my class even bothered reading it.
My teacher had to stop making our tests so difficult because she learned nobody was reading it because it was so boring and everybody was failing the tests so she just made the questions simple like what happened in this chapter

I read Things Fall Apart in 10th grade and did not enjoy it. I suspect I would now though. Otherwise I can't really think of any books I've read in school that I didn't enjoy, and I've never ended up reading something bad for pleasure.
