Trust that Rihanna may be eligible for so many categories (seeing as her people were smart to submit the right songs in the right categories) but her chances of getting a nomination is slim to none.

Yes, they didn't submit it (probably) hoping it will be "eligible" for next year. Same can be said for "Big Girls Don't Cry" it is submitted and really shouldn't be since the song was nominated for Best Producer (will.i.am.). I guess Jive wants to rack up as many nominations for Blackout next year (and yes, this is a HUGE contender for next year seeing this is Britney's comeback and all).

Yes, so really if you get a nomination and not winning is still a pretty good accomplishment. But in the end it's a battle of the unknown/indie/underrated VS the popular/commercially successful acts whether or not how good your submission is.
