But wasn't Janet still way more relevant and remembered at Britney's current point in her career than Britney is now?
Yes but Janet didn't actually enjoyed success until her third album unlike Britney who had success with her first single. Janet didn't reach Gold with her first two albums.

I don't mean career point time wise, I mean after their peak.
the downright ignorance in this thread. Janet will be more remembered. Britney is my fave but Janet had so much more impact in terms of dancing and she can probably STILL outdance Britney today. Janet's last album was in 2008, 24 years into her career and it only flopped because she had issues with her label. some of yall need to learn your music history.

Janet peaked in the early to mid 90s. Her last hit album was 14 years ago. But Janet's more successful with her first fifteen years.
Like what I said from the first post, Britney reached bigger heights than Janet. Janet had sustained her momentum longer though. 11 years of continuous success as to Britney's 6 years.
Britney, she had bigger hits, more iconic songs, preformances, videos, bigger popularity peak.
I know only 2-3 Janet songs and she is famous because she is sister of MJ
Janet. People still remember her now, so they will remember her in 9 years from now as well.
Britney however won't be remembered in 36 years from now. That's 2 generations ahead. And she would already be struggling with her relevance if 'TTWE' and 'S & S' didn't exist, so she'll have a hard time being memorable 3 decades from now.

I think both Britney and Janet will be very popular for years but i voted Janet because her brother was Michael Jackson one of the most well known people in the world, and simply by association she will be remembered and bought up constantly whenever MJ is mentioned, which will keep her remembered for a long time but i do think, Britney Jean will be popular also and i still love her music too just i don't think it will be as loved in 50 years though!!
It was successful but it definitely not as successful as her other albums. Considering the time, All For You's success was mediocre and weighted less than Janet's previous studio albums. I was talking about consistency and All For You is not on par with the others just like how Blackout considering the time and state Britney was in made decent numbers but is not on par with her first four albums and her greatest hits.
