It would have been a huge first week, but not as much longevity. The media blacklisted her in the Spring and she was overexposed. I'm glad she waited.

i think it would have done just fine. people were fresh off seeing bey short circuit the stadium at the super bowl and would have eaten up a new surprise album. i don't really care to speculate too much though because i kind of prefer that bey starved us then fed us everything we were craving and more. it would have felt less special and less surprising.

I never understood why folks were saying she should've dropped an album after the Super Bowl. What artist in the past who head lined the Super Bowl, dropped an album at the same time?? Why was Bey singled out and considered wasting promo when no other artist has ever release an album around the time they performed at the Super Bowl.lol
