Sexuality is not a lifestyle. I drink a lot when I party. That is a lifestyle. My friend Ashley likes to have sex with two boys at one time. That's a lifestyle. What isn't a lifestyle is my friend Tom falling in love with his partner and finally getting the opportunity to marry him after being together for almost a decade. So please take your "lifestyle" comments elsewhere.

Of course if a gay person was to attack her lifestyle/life-choices and claim it as "opinion", she wouldn't be tolerating it. She's basically saying: "How dare we question a wrongful opinion of us. We should tolerate hate towards us, especially unfounded hate that's born from backwards thinking and fear, otherwise we're hypocrites!"

There's a difference between sending hate when it's deserved, and when it's not. I never hear of gay people randomly coming for straight people's lives, like that moron in the GQ interview did. No gay person would say: "Being straight is the origin of sin, linked with beastiality". Like...

So naturally, when people open their mouths and talk rubbish, we're going to talk back. I don't think it has anything to do with being gay, it has to do with being respected as individuals. You won't talk that way about me, whether I am gay, or not.

I'm not going to pretend I have no self-esteem so some bigot can feel better about their crappy opinion.

I should be able to get married to who I love. If you don't think I should, you're an asshole. Period. My self esteem isn't low enough that I'm going to pretend "Oh you kinda have a point I don't deserve rights lel!"
