⚫ This group caught my attention with their previous singles "Gold Lion", "Maps" and the "Glee"-featured "Heads Will Roll". As soon as they released this album cover, it really intrigued me on how will they will offer new music for this year. Upon hearing the first single "Sacrilege", I was floored upon its slayage especially of that choir usage, which my soul wasn't prepared!. Sonically, it is remarkable and distinctive of their sound and vocalist Karen O delivered her thing! Usually, their sound is not really my thing and favorite genre, but still, I gave on some proper listen and appreciated their music more than before.

⚫ Starting of this year's Best of 2013 singles is indie twins Tegan and Sara! After their breakthrough commercial and powerful pop first single, this sentimental second single couldn't be a perfect mellow follow-up! This one, peaked but hovered around my chart in the lower half position and yet serving longevity of a 9-week consecutive run. This is due to the sweetness of the melody and its lyrics. That distinct delivery by the duo for me in this song would be unmatched if tested!

⚫ I caught up late with this song as I first heard it when the video was already charting in one of our local music video countdowns, and woah! the look and the feel of the video is just classic Avril! She looks the best she had in years and I really love the blue color undertones set in it. Hubby Chad cooked with her up a great ballad and I think the result couldn't be more perfect! It was expected and I think, a near-perfect tandem!

⚫ This is the first song I've ever heard from them and initially on my thoughts, Oh! what a COOL track!  It instantly reminded me the carefree vibe of the summer, channeling the ambience and feel of the 90's era! The video is simply shot, having the sisters performing the song, but yet it couldn't be anymore fitting, just like the song, it has that old school texture that both video and of course the song, just reminds me anything but post 90's/pre 2000 era
