But i don't think it's a big deal. It's not like she used it in a sexual song or party song
It's not like sadness can't exist in the happiness, and vice versa. Sometimes they use the happiness to overcome the sadness. And in some country culture, they do happy things on the funeral because in that way the dead people can happily go to heaven.
XO may sound like a happy and cheerful song, but maybe there's some context inside it that we haven't known yet. Seriously knowing this reference makes me appreciate this song more
