Thompson Square has become one of my favourite country acts this year. Their sophmore studio album "Just Feels Good" debuted at #13 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the Hot Country Albums Chart. The lead single "If I Didn't Have You" reached number one and has become one of their signature hits. They won the ACM Award for Duo of the Year at this years ceremonies and was nominated for Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards this year. These two have wonderful voices and sharp song writing skills that tons of people can relate too. I highly encourage anyone who wants to explore country music to listen to their work.
Zedd really deserves to be on any list that includes top artists of this year. His album is flawless, "Stay The Night" and "Clarity" are classics and he really brought back feel good dance music that isn't cheesy. Earning a Grammy nomination for the 2014 ceremony one can only see bright things in Zedd's future.
The diversity already But it's really cool, I like your taste. Zedd is my fave generic EDM producer and Thompson Square is one of my favorite country groups

Thank you.
When I did my top fifteen artists of the year I first thought of which artists impacted me, It was hard because in total there was only about 15-18 artists who I actually listened to regularly throughout the year.
Demi had another great year and is constantly breaking the Disney mold. She is the first of two Disney stars to appear on my artists list. (I mean what kind of list would it be if it didn't include at least one Disney star?) She was everywhere this year, I mean literally everywhere. In Nicaragua the radio station would spin "Heart Attack" at least two times an hour and later when I was in Kenya she was the only Western artist aside Rihanna and Taylor Swift who'd recieve airplay. "DEMI" was a solid pop album and her singles were all bops. I am very much anticipating her album coming out next year and hope she continues to release quality work.
Poor Lady Gaga. She couldn't catch a break this year and it seems like every other base teamed up to drag her down this year. Although she may have not reached the expectations of many, she had a fine year. "Applause" is incredibly catchy, "Do What U Want" grows each listen and "Venus" is probably my favourite Gaga song since "The Fame" era. She had numerous memorable performances this year and proves time and time again why she's one of the best acts of our generation.
