And those mentioned aren't exactly looked at in a positive light musically...
"Timber" would've sounded terrible with Rihanna. Ke$ha was meant for that song and I think it's best that Rihanna continues to work with Eminem. They make magic together. I don't know if she would've sounded very good on a Pitbull track, especially that one in particular.

It simply means people have gotten into the habit of imitating Icon for success. What you are saying only makes sense if Icon didn't have a signature.
