Adele isn't the #1 digital selling artist of all time.
Adele isn't the only woman to have more than one album sell over a million copies in a week in the US. Adele has, in fact, never done so.
Adele isn't the first artist since the Beatles to have 3 albums spend at least six weeks each atop the Hot 100.
Adele doesn't have more entries in the top 40 of the Hot 100 than any woman except Madonna.
Adele didn't write the most awarded album in country music history when she was 17 years old.
Adele doesn't have two $100+ million grossing tours. I don't think she's even passed the approximate $70 million of the Fearless Tour.
Adele isn't the first woman to headline a stadium tour in Australia since Madonna did so two decades ago.
Adele hasn't been honored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, while Taylor won the Hal David Starlight Award at 20 years old.
That's not even going into Taylor's success purely within the country genre, with Her dozen-plus country hits and Her impressive history at the CMAs, ACMs and the Nashville Songwriters' Association.
Taylor is a huge touring force with more hits, a longer and more consistently successful career (most of Adele's noteworthy accomplishments happened in a 2 year period, while Taylor has consistently dominated for 7 years), more awards and recognition of Her songwriting.
21 was obviously bigger than any individual Taylor album, and its sales are near with Taylor's total sales, but it doesn't make Adele a bigger star than Taylor. Taylor is clearly the bigger
brand, and that ultimately makes Her the bigger star.
