I just finished up at RCA as one of the temporary musical directors for a few artist's albums though I didn't get to work on Christina's because she has already started her new album recording and visual consulting. I heard only one song from my whole time there out of her and it sounds very orchestral/mystical(?) but very poppish. It has..idk I really can't explain it. It sounds epic though.
Like I said guys, like nothing she's ever done before!
I don't believe you at all, but it will be indeed amazing if she does something orchestral
I really hope she does a bilingual pop/r&b album. She has repaired her public image a lot from the Bionic days, so she just needs solid material and a lot of promotion.
I can't at some people having big expectations from Xtina who flopped big time two times in a row but they claim Beyoncé will never have a top 10 hit.

Anyway, to answer the OP, I want her to be successful again. People love her ballads, she needs come back with a hard one. It needs to hit people in the face. Only on that condition, she will be huge on charts again.

I really want her to do a Neo-Soul/R&B/Jazz album. Her voice fits that so well, and when she does sex songs, they don't sell well. I know she doesn't care about sales, but as an artist, you want sales, somewhat.
Which is why I used the word "surprised". If it's guaranteed, what is there to surprise?
You seem to misunderstand something here.
And since she keeps re-inventing herself, it's more fun to speculate
I thought we were discussing commercial success, weren't we? Because Bionic was also very different sound for Xtina, but it was far from ''a big era''. If you mean the direction and sound of the album, then of course she can make a critically acclaimed and surprising album if she wants.
I can't say too much right now but I can assure the fans and just people in general that shes coming with something big.
All I can really say is soon and the song is amazing, she's never done this style of music before. Look out!

It all depends on how much work she is willing to put in. If she continues to think she is better than promoting like every other artist, then it will most definetly flop.
She also needs to go back to actually making good music. Bionic and Lotus just weren't good enough.
