They're two very different albums, different styles of pop music.
With that said though, I don't like Prism very much. ARTPOP is just so explosive and I love pretty much all we've heard so far.

Maybe. But the difference between Katy Perry and Lady Gaga is that Katy Perry's bad, generic, filler tracks are listenable and, at the very least, current. Lady Gaga's music always sounds dated, or extremely busy. Lady Gaga doesn't know how to edit when it comes to production, so it tends to sound like a ball of noisiness with some nonsensical lyrics over the top of it. That never makes good music, but Lady Gaga lacks the self-awareness to see that.

I kind of see what you mean. Sometimes her tracks get so overproduced that they sound either really busy or similar to other works/dated. I'm hoping with ARTPOP she'll become more aware of this, because like you said Katy's filler tracks are tolerable, and gaga's sometimes don't quite get it right.
