The following are things that have been in my life recently that I have enjoyed or have been entertained by:

Hoodies

It has been snowing every damn effing week since Christmas last December. It has also gotten really cold. IT. SUCKS. With that, I have really enjoyed my hoodies as they keep me warm and I have a place to put my hands wherever my life goes. I normally wear hoodies with the zippers like Justin Timberlake is modeling above, except I'm not a man-****, or claim (with a significance amount of ********) to have been under drugs while being Punk'd, and I wear a shirt or 2 underneath it. They are excellent to have or wear during other times of the year as well.

Mat Kearny

After a lot of acclaimed/raved commotion about this guy on the Internet and by a couple of my friends, I decided to check him out. I got his CD for free through my BMG music club with any other CD purchase. I was a little skeptical of this man because I didn't care too much for Nothing Left to Lose. Wow, was I wrong; Mat's CD was fairly good in my opinion. He's kind of a combination of The Fray, Josh Kelly, and a little bit of Fort Minor all mashed into this one guy.

Smallville Season 5 on DVD

I love this show. Tom Welling and Company have really picked themselves up since Season 3. Currently I am watching a disc from this set every 2-3 weeks. (I like to spread the goodness around.)
Even though it's very cheesy most of the time, I love the storylines and the characters. Smallville is a very unique interpretation of Clark Kent and the people around his life, and how Superman came to be during his teen-young adulthood years. Even though this might be getting shadowed by NBC's Heroes, I really hope the show goes on for another 5 seasons.

Digmon World DS


Having yet to bust open the latest Zelda game, this is the best new game I've yet to play this year. It's based off the Digimon franchise, which in a couple aspects is kind of like Pokemon, but not really... You can control, raise, and digivolve "Digital Monsters" in order to save the digital world. I have played this game and have finished the story twice in the course of a month. I think any former/current Pokemon fan will be pleased by this like I was. This could even tie over those who await for April's release of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

McDonalds Chicken Snack-Wraps

These are good! It's a small tortilla blanketing honey mustard, lettuce, and a piece of crispy chicken for only $1.29. In fact, this item is healthier then 3/4 of McDonalds' normal everyday menu. ^__^! Very tasty, maybe not filling enough at times, but worth a try.

Side Note: I'm going home this weekend to judge my hometown Speech/Forensics Tournament and a possible reunion with a few of my former teammates, my teachers, and everybody else associated. About the "experinecing 9/11": That was not directly from my view, it was just reported and speculated.
And Additional note: Last I checked, those signs didn't have the adult swim/cartoon network logo or the title of the show anywhere on them that would be visible from a distance. (Which is a major fault for those behind this PR and part of why the whole incident occured.) In conjunction to that, a character throwing a middle finger in the air doesn't prompt one who has no knowledge about the show to suspect the worst? Really now...

i don't buy the premise that it looks like anything that could even possibly do any harm to anyone. first of all it's a god damn cartoon character. beyond that, the defense i heard for it looking "suspicious" was that it had a battery on it, and wires connected to the magnets. if we're all going to run for our lives whenever we see a battery or wires, we're in pretty deep ****.

if i remember correctly, 8 or 9 other cities responded appropriately to these ads, either ignoring them or taking them down without making a fuss. it's just one idiot in boston who ruined it for everybody.

HAHA! I just woke up this AM seeing Mikal's thread with over 100 replies and what could potentially be one of this site's most viewed threads ever.

My stance from what I have read so far:

I think calling Britney mentally unstable for this single action is too much & exaggerative for a first glance. Not a whole lot of insightful questions have been answered by HER ALONE yet, just a lot of assumptions. There's a difference between a mental disorder, having a momentary lapse of misjudgment (Which I know all of you are guilty of by this site alone), or making an intentional statement. To me, I think she was sick and tired of the paps/media swarming around her life and she decided to say something by making an ultimate action. My other instinct is that this might've been a publicity stunt.

Besides, she's not the first girl to go off shaving her head. And in conjunction, despite how I've seen girls become extremely obsessed with their head-looks, it's only hair. She can do wigs, extensions, Rogaine (?), and other hair products if she wishes. I would've liked to see her do a Mohawk or some ponytail look. I also want to know what's going to happen with her shaved hair; is she going to donate it to charity? (Locks for Love or something...?)


And to some Britney fans: It isn't doomsday; breathe why don'tcha?

Grammys 2007 = What an amazing show! Truly, that was the best ceremony I’ve seen in the last few years. I really loved the entire night.

The only things that bothered me, which if combined are only less then 20 minutes of the show:
- John Mayer getting best pop vocal album? Nothing against either of them, both are great CDs, but anybody a quarter sensible to today's music knows when it comes to quality of vocals: Xtina > > > John. It’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. Why did the voting academy **** this one up?
- T.I. and Pink’s presenting an award to Mary J Blige… That was terrible because T.I. apparently has never presented anything before in his life…*See T.I. drop the envelope, fidget, and then cut P!nk off to announce who won*
- My Humps getting a grammy. Wow is all I can say, I didn’t see this award show coming all the way down to that. Who even voted for this? It doesn't even deserve a nomination.
- Quentin Tarantino presenting the award to the Dixie Chicks alongside Tony Bennett. For that brief moment I dropped my stance on gun control. That guy was ****ing irritating + creepy! If I were Tony, I would’ve executed his ass right there... I bet some of the arena crowd would’ve then given a standing ovation.
But he wasn't as bad as...
- Don Henley (aka the guy who presented the album of the year w/ Scarlett Johansson) couldn’t have been more revolting. Fellas, it’s not that hard to follow a teleprompter and present an award.
- Shakira "Hips Don't Lie" : ENOUGH ALREADY! !!!!! This song is still one of the most overplayed tracks in contemporary culture to the point where it's disgusting and toxic. She could've done "Illegal" and it would've been amazing, but no, she had to rape viewers + audiences with this again.

Otherwise, everything else that night was beautiful and cool: !!!!
- Mary J Blige – wins & excellent performances that currently have me thinking about checking out her latest albums.
- Justin Timberlake – Nearly perfect performances, and I’m laughing at the fact that a girl won the my grammy moment competition, yet she was rejected for some fat hairy guy on a previous American Idol episode. BTW, that girl has a pretty good voice, it’s quite nice. I would like to see her have a record deal.
- Ludacris – His Album win was a huge surprise for me. I would put the blame behind his win solely on “Runaway Love” and the exposure that track is grabbing.


- Dixie Chicks – Currently, if Bush and co were not effing up so much between Iraq and a couple certain US domestic issues, I highly doubt the earned success of these 3 ladies would’ve been equally matched. I also don't see their wins as being based off artistic values, but more along the lines of a covert statement regarding freedoms of speech made by the majority of grammy voters. Otherwise, I was very glad to see them win, and their golden success just gave the long overdue Golden Backhand towards certain United States’ music industries. (Of who have overly-crusaded against them over a small sentence.) But the best part of all this was when Natalie quoted the Simpsons during an acceptance speech("Heh-heh") , which was simple and brilliant on so many levels.

- Carrie Underwood – I knew she was going to knock the place dead, but I didn’t care for her rendition of Desperado. It did not sit well with me at all; that song has had far better interpretations. Then her winning best new artist was very obvious and finely deserved.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers - What an awesome night for them as well. They truely deserved the best rock album award that they recieved.
- John Mayer + Corinne Baily Rae + John Legend = Not a bad combo, I liked this performance. However, I was dissapointed that Legend didn't do "Heaven." C.B.Rae + J. Mayer's supporting vocals, if added, would've been awesome.
- The Police = !!! Roxanne is a major classic. They should do a completely new album sometime.
- Beyonce - She was absolutely overshadowed, because her performance didn't stand out as much. (Which is all her fault but she did a beautiful job.)

- But the best moment of this entire show was the bombshell James Brown tribute made by the beautifully powerful Christina Aguilera:

And I read some comments here claiming she "shouted" too much. To those who made those statements or something similar: No matter how much you foolishly debate this, you just showed your true teeny bopper status, which has little to no respect & knowledge towards an amazing music legend. Stop ****ing yourselves with the latest High School Musical "CD."

-...Speaking of which, the crappy unreal High School Musical soundtrack didn't get any Grammy recognition! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA That's so beautiful!

I wonder how everything in this one night will be topped for next year's show?...
