This has been done all the time. It's just so happens that so many ppl used the opportunity to buy. If you want to try it with discount to push an album's chart position, you can literally drag everyone. What matter is WHEN here. Is it that hard to understand?

I'm sure Taylor needs discounts when her stadium shows sell out in one minute, and her albums and singles continue to make history time and time again. Big Machine hardly ever discounts Taylor's albums in particular because they know she is the biggest force in country music and pop music, but it is always good every once in a while to have a discount for the fans and non fans alike.
