I've never understood the love for Blurred Lines. Like really. When I hear it out in public I just get annoyed. I can get down to more Bieber songs than that song and I can't stand him either.

Basically, and don't bring Adam Lambert into this because he takes it too far. Male artists are not that interesting to talk about unless they have great numbers at the charts but that's about it.

Flawlessly explained.

Male artists have always shied away from interesting imagery/personas. Female pop stars go all out creatively and are always there to steal the show.

Also, I genuinely find music by females (esp indie acts) to be more genuine and powerful.

And of course all the major pop girls.

But I don't think ATRL hates male artists. Most of them are fans of at least a few. I love Calvin Harris, John Mayer, and Mat Kearney.
