I wish him lots of success! Very brave to pursue country music. I don't think I've ever heard such an explicitly gay song, even gay male singers like Adam Lambert and Mika avoid gender-specific pronouns most of the time!
He's cuuuuuute but this song is far too corny for my tastes. His voice also seems more orientated for rock music than country, but I wish him well. He'll definitely have an uphill climb in country music.

eggshell-walking annoys the crap outta me esp from someone as flamboyant and outspoken as Adam
I actually kinda like it even thou I'm not really into country music.
I don't think he'll turn into a huge hit but I think he will gain some exposure because he is a gay artist. I kinda worry they'll stereotype him and will expect him to always write 'gay things'.
But who knows, I didn't think that they would ever have a black country artist and here we have one.
Not really feeling the song or the video (reminds me of some CorbinFisher p0rn plot), but good for him for being out and making music about his experiences in a notoriously homophobic genre.
Again, to some people saying it's cheap or bad production wise, etc. - he doesn't have a label. This is obviously a very low budget product that he's just trying to get attention with. I think the talent is there and I personally really like the message of the song. I relate to it. I think many gay men would. But, as many others have said, it's a tough climb in Country for the gays. I just appreciate that he isn't walking on egg shells.
