I'm really surprised to say this, especially given the amount of quality games shown at E3, especially because a new Kingdom Hearts was announced, and ESPECIALLY because the nine minute extended MGS V trailer is unbelievable...this is the game I'm most excited about coming out of E3. The trailer shown at Sony's conference sold me on it, and I can't stop watching it. It's just so gorgeous and it looks incredibly fun.

I'm iffy about this. I mean, I'm thrilled we're finally getting Versus in some form (despite the fact it looks like a playable Advent Children), but I am NOT here for another FF game that plays like a convoluted 20-episode anime. And they better not release the ending on DLC like they did with FF13-2.

Lemme just say, I hope the Final Fantasy trend proves true. In increments of three, the best Final Fantasy out of them is always the third (III, VI, IX, XII) because this is really shaping out to be the best Final Fantasy they've ever created. If they can surpass VI, that would be a miracle, but I still believe this series can bounce back from XIII lickety-split!

You can switch party members and you can use summons but you will have to fight them.

To be expected since it was originally suppose to be a spinoff of XIII. I'm glad to see Leviathan back. Maybe we can get Ifrit and Shiva back too...

Seems very likely if Leviathan is in. Everything they had planned is in and unchanged and they will keep us updated more often with info since the game is far along.

I am expecting mid to late 2014.

Makes sense since Lightning Returns is coming out early 2014. Although, with this announcement, it should definitely be before/during the next E3...

Most of the time, the character list is balanced (same/similar amount of girls as guys), so maybe they're finally making this a guy-oriented Final Fantasy...

That would exactly be a year from now seems legit. LR is still coming out this year just not to the west so its pretty much near done. XV is much bigger than that game in budget and scope so i wouldn't be too surprised if it does come out later than E3.

And yes there is two females shown but they obviously have big roles.
Stella will be Noctis' enemy beyond their control.

The black haired girl is unknown but it seems likely she is on the opposing side since the opposing side is all together.

Then, they killed off Serah with a seemingly vague way of winning her back. Hopefully, it doesn't pan out that way in XV...

XV is done by a different team and judging by this story i don't think we will have that problem.
Stella is a princess and knows Noctis and there is dialog telling him not to worry about her and worry about himself. So she friendzoned him breaking the mold right there and she will most likely be a boss.

The black haired girl looks like a badass.

This game gives me 60+ hours tea due to it being open world and the story. There seems to be a lot to this.

In Final Fantasy XV, you’ll get to ride on Behemoths and pull off other extravagant actions against enemies. Nomura also mentions that the free-run aspect doesn’t only apply to the map, but also monsters. For example, you’ll also get to climb onto monsters and aim for specific parts of their bodies.

Nomura reiterates, “There’s a battle where Leviathan is causing a waterspout. There’s a scene that shows a fight inside the tornado while jumping between the debris of collapsed buildings. I believe that boss fights will feature such particular flashy situations.”

Speaking of sea monsters, Nomura also revealed some information regarding the nation that appears to have an abundant supply of water. According to Nomura, the nation of Accordo (pictured above) is heavily inspired by the city of Venice, Italy. Nomura visited Venice visited back in 2004 and 2005. In addition to Accordo, Lucis, Solheim and Tenebrae are the four great nations that were originally entrusted to protect the four crystals. However, the Kingdom of Lucis remains to be the only one that’s been able to protect it up until now. There will also be several cities and towns in the world of Final Fantasy XV.
